The first one-volume abridgment of Churchill's six-volume history, largely the work of his research assistant, Denis Kelly, though Churchill did contribute an interesting epilogue covering the years 1945-1957. Issued in the U.S. under the title: MEMOIRS OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR.

Description: This is a very good copy in an unclipped dust jacket of the First Printing of the First American edition in the First Binding issue (according to Cohen) of green cloth. The jacket has darkened a bit with some scuffs, a short closed tear and shelfwear. The contents are fine, with a gentle rear hinge break.
